Your First F45 Class in Weston, FL: What to Expect
An F45 class lasts 45 minutes, runs as a timed circuit of stations, and is coached start to finish. At F45 Training North Weston you do not need to know the exercises, own equipment, or be in shape beforehand: the coaches walk you through the whole circuit before the timer starts and adjust every station to you.

Class length: 45 minutes
Format: coached group circuit training — cardio, resistance and hybrid days
What actually happens in the 45 minutes?
The class is a circuit. The floor is set up in numbered stations before you arrive, each one with a movement assigned to it. You work a station for a set time, rotate to the next one, and repeat for a set number of rounds. Screens on the walls show a demo of the movement at your station and how much time is left on it, so you are never guessing what comes next.
Two things make it different from training on your own in a gym: the work and rest intervals are decided for you, and there are coaches on the floor the entire time correcting form rather than watching from a desk. You do not build the workout. You show up and run it.
What are the three F45 workout types?
F45 Training North Weston rotates three formats through the week, so the class you take on a Monday is not the class you take on a Thursday:
- Cardio days use plyometric movements, timing and tempo to raise your heart rate and keep it there.
- Strength days are functional resistance training — slower tempo, controlled movement, focus on form — to build lean muscle and bone density.
- Hybrid days are a 50/50 fusion: explosive cardio bursts combined with strength work in the same session.
At this studio each weekday runs a different named F45 session — Iceberg on Mondays, Empire on Tuesdays, Fifty Fifty on Wednesdays, HYROX Strong on Thursdays, Goat on Fridays and Vegas on Saturdays — so the class you take on a Monday is never the class you take on a Thursday. The studio is closed on Sundays. Check the schedule for the current week before you book: no two sessions repeat the same circuit.
Do I need to be fit already?
No. Every station has a regression (an easier version) and a progression (a harder one), and the coach assigns you the right one. When you arrive, tell the coach about any injury or any movement you would rather avoid — knees, shoulders, lower back — and they will give you an alternative for that station before the round starts. People in their first week and people in their fifth year train side by side in the same class.
What should I bring, and when should I get there?
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early. That is when the coach walks you through the circuit.
- Training shoes — anything you can move laterally and jump in.
- Water. There are short breaks between rounds; you will use them.
- A towel. You will need it.
You do not need to bring equipment. Everything the circuit uses — dumbbells, kettlebells, bikes, rowers, sleds, bands — is set up at the stations.
How sore will I be?
If you have not trained in a while, expect to feel the first two or three sessions in your legs and mid-back for about 48 hours. That fades quickly. The more useful advice for week one: go at 70% and finish every round rather than going at 100% and stopping mid-station. The circuit rewards consistency across the 45 minutes, not one heroic round.
How many people are in a class?
F45 classes are group sessions, typically with several coaches on the floor. You are not training alone next to strangers — the whole format is built as team training, with everyone moving through the same circuit on the same clock. That is the part most people who try it say they did not expect.
